Tim Sullivan and Richard Maselli recently presented at the International Claims Association's 100th Annual Education Conference on October 5-6, 2009 at Marco Island, Florida. Tim and Rich have frequently presented at the International Claims Association Annual Education Conference on a wide range of insurance issues and topics designed to assist the consideration and handling of various insurance claims.
During this year's conference, Tim Sullivan presented on the topic of suicide and accidental death investigations and participated in a round table discussion on competing claims for life insurance proceeds. The suicide and accidental death investigation presentation focused on the issues and considerations facing claims handlers on death claims where the cause of death is in dispute. The adverse claims round table focused on competing claims for life insurance proceeds and how to handle such claims and when to interplead life insurance benefits.
Partner Richard Maselli presented on the topic of pending issue deaths particularly those claims and legal issues surrounding deaths of individuals for whom life insurance applications and/or underwriting are pending. This program focused on informative case scenarios based on actual case law involving such topics and conditional receipts and temporary insurance agreements.
The International Claims Association Annual Education Conference is designed to provide education on timely and pertinent insurance industry subjects. Tim Sullivan and Rich Maselli are proud to be frequent contributors to the ICA education conference as well as members of the ICA.
