On June 25, 2009, Richard S. Maselli and Luis E. Viera presented a program at the 2009 Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc./Casagrande & Associates,  P.A. seminar on the topic of Florida Statute 624.155 and civil remedies claims.  The two day conference was attended by over 500 claim professionals and focused on a variety of issues currently facing the insurance industry.  The presentation by Mr. Maselli and Mr. Viera specifically addressed the nature of civil remedies claims in Florida, including the developing standards  requiring  specificity  in Civil Remedy Notices filed  by Plaintiffs, how claim professionals should respond to these claims and the  recent  Florida case law on the topic.  This annual seminar is an educational forum for claim professionals designed to assist in obtaining the tools and skills to meet the changing demands of the insurance marketplace and industry.  If you would like a copy of the PowerPoint presentation or the course outline, please contact Mr. Maselli  or Mr. Viera directly.
